Person Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapy
About me

My interests in human nature and life has developed from a very young age.I have always found it fascinating how intelligent the human body is, and how body, mind and emotions are interrelating. I have always been interested in how people think, behave and perceive the world.
I believe that I was drawn to this type of work partly because of the many difficulties, challenges and adversity that I have experienced in life. These experiences which I like to refer to as the 'touch stones' of my existence, have not only shaped me into the person that I am today, but they are the source of personal strength and courage, and they also help me to understand, connect and empathize with my clients on a deeper level.
I feel really fortunate to have worked with some amazing people, who despite their suffering and pain has found the courage to seek help in order to change and live a more fulfilling life. And I find this truly inspirational.

My Approach

I am a fully qualified counsellor and my practice is rooted in the Person Centred approach.
I respect the client's autonomy and uniqueness, and my work is guided by the client experience.I believe that everyone has the ability to achieve their full potential, and I provide warm and nurturing environment of unconditional acceptance, empathic understanding and genuineness. Rather than focusing on the symptoms of your problems, I engage with the whole person, mindful of the interconnection between the emotions, mind, and body. And I am also mindful of events that may have happened in the past and the impact and connections these have on the present.

I do not look to provide a specific cure for your issues and pain, but instead to foster an attitude of self- care and compassion alongside self- direction. And if the words are too painful to express I am open to use creative activities like painting, drawing,or relaxation exercises.

I believe that counselling acts as a catalyst and facilitates the process of inner growth and strength. This process will enable you to gain a new perspective in your life and make positive  changes. I see counselling as a journey of self-discovery, it  could be scary, it could be painful, but ultimately it is a rewarding journey of becoming.
